Tuk Tuk Van Wrap for Edinburgh Food Community

Project Details

I was approached by CGH Creative to collaborate on an exciting project for the Edinburgh Food Community.

While Chris from CGH focused on the graphic design elements, including text and logo placement, I focused on the concept development and illustration for the large-scale print, a custom van wrap for a Tuk Tuk.

About Edinburgh Community Food:

Edinburgh Community Food promotes access to affordable, healthy food in low-income communities, with a mission to improve health and well-being through cooking and nutrition courses, health education, and accredited training. For this project, they wanted the illustration to reflect their commitment to healthy living and the process of growing, harvesting, cooking, and coming together as a community, all set against the backdrop of iconic Edinburgh landmarks.

Responsibilities and Deliverables:

  • Concept development and execution of three large scale panel illustrations

  • Creation of individual visual assets tailored to the project’s needs

  • Collaboration with the graphic designer to ensure cohesive visual integration

  • Adaptation of illustrations for large scale printing

Development Stages:

The process began with rough sketches to explore and establish the composition. I then developed a cleaner version and created a detailed presentation for the client, explaining the design choices. To ensure brand consistency, I presented test colour patches based on their brand colours for the client to select their preferred palette. After incorporating their feedback, the illustration was finalised, resulting in the completed artwork.
